Why we use Foam and Fibreglass !

The below is to help you understand why we used foam & fibreglass as our materials to build pods.....

Fibreglass:
As you well know fibreglass boats have been around for years, and can cope with constantly sitting in salt water year after year. The material is long lasting, versatile and strong, so why not use it for building structures along with foam boards.

Dense foam board:
As you well know this type of insulation is used one way or another in most construction methods as a form of insulation to a main structure. What we wanted to do is instead of adding the insulation board to a main structure, was to in fact use it as the main structure and the fibreglass for the strength capabilities. We can make our structures as thick or thin as required, all we do is use different thickness's of foam board. We can adapt the shape to suit whatever is required and then infuse the fibreglass matt and resin on to the board.

Insulation:
Dense foam board works in two ways.
It is very warm & cosy in winter, but reverses and is cool in the summer.
So during the colder month's your running costs are kept to a minimum, as the complete pod is cocooned in dense foam board including the floor,

Colour:
We can replicate just about any colour you wish.

Design:
We can replicate just about any shape or design you wish, add additional wall/s, larger pods & so on..
Maintenance:
Our pods need little to non for the first 10-12 years due to the thickness of the topcoat we add.
Against wood where they need regular maintenance.

Lifespan:
We restrict our lifespan to 50 - 60 years, but in fact we know it will last years beyond this time.
Against wood that only has around half the lifespan.

Conclusion:
So now you see why we use foam & fibreglass as our material, and hope this clarifies and answers any negative thoughts you may have had. Regarding negatives.... we have yet to find any...... Do you know of any ?
